DESCRIPTION:Let’s talk science!\nJoin us for this educational ALUMNI EVENT, Virtual Behind-the-Scenes Tour, Vaccine Development and Immunization, on Thursday, May 21 from 10-11 AM. We’ll hear from two PCOM Georgia faculty members on vaccine development and immunization.\n\nOur speakers\n\nValerie Cadet, PhD, an Associate Professor of Pathology, Microbiology, Immunology and Forensic Medicine, received her PhD degree from the University of Georgia. Her teaching focuses primarily on the immune system, mechanisms of host defense, virology, bacteriology and general microbiological therapeutic interventions.\n\n\nShirin Madzhidova, PharmD, an Assistant Professor in the PCOM School of Pharmacy, earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy where she also completed a two-year academic fellowship specializing in Pediatric Pharmacotherapy.
