DULUTH, GA — October 8, 2025 — Leadership Gwinnett marked a milestone four decades in the making with its Starlight Soirée on Thursday, October 2 at the Gas South Convention Center. The Soirée brought together hundreds of civic, business, and nonprofit leaders to celebrate the organization’s 40-year legacy of educating, equipping, and engaging diverse leaders who strengthen Gwinnett County.
“Leadership Gwinnett has shaped thousands of leaders who continue to make an impact across every sector of our community,” said Lisa Zaken, President & CEO of Leadership Gwinnett. “The Starlight Soirée was more than a celebration—it was a testament to what collaboration and civic leadership can accomplish and a call to carry that spirit into the next 40 years.” Guests enjoyed an evening of networking, dinner, and live entertainment, highlighted by a special panel of current and former Gwinnett County Commission Chairs, who reflected on four decades of growth and the leaders who helped guide it. The event kicked off with a champagne toast honoring the alumni, volunteers, and partners who continue to propel the mission forward.
“From our earliest classes to our newest graduates, every alumnus has played a role in building a thriving, inclusive Gwinnett,” said Zaken. “This anniversary reminds us that leadership is a shared journey.”
The Starlight Soirée also served as a springboard for future initiatives as Leadership Gwinnett enters its next program year, continuing to invest in leadership development through its signature nine-month program, Glance Gwinnett, and year-round alumni engagement opportunities.
