We do this through innovative programming including the signature nine-month Leadership Gwinnett cohort, Glance Gwinnett, a two-and-a-half-day snapshot event, and a robust Alumni network.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to join our team. The Program Coordinator will play a key role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our community leadership programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community development, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Program/Event Planning and Implementation:
      • Assist in the development and execution of community leadership programs, including the signature Leadership Gwinnett program, Glance Gwinnett, Alumni events, community seminars, and new activities as planned.
      • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including staff, volunteers, Partners, and vendors to ensure program goals and objectives are met.
      • Coordinate logistics for program activities, including venue booking, materials preparation, participant communications, setup and breakdown, catering, parking, transportation, and AV needs.
      • Plan, execute, and oversee all catering and food/beverage services for events/programs, ensuring exceptional quality control, adherence to event specifications, and a seamless experience for attendees.
      • Participate in committee planning meetings and coordinate follow-up on action steps
    • Data Management and Evaluation:
      • Generate surveys and collect, as well as analyze, data to measure the impact and effectiveness of programming.
      • Prepare comprehensive reports on program data for internal and external stakeholders and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Administrative and Operational Support:
      • Provide administrative support for program-related tasks, including scheduling, budget tracking, documentation, and maintaining accurate records of program activities and participant data.
      • Assist with database management, social media, recruitment, marketing projects, or other projects as required by LG team.
      • Coordinate meeting logistics, create and manage material needs, and compile event packing lists.
      • Manage the collection of materials from class, committees, speakers, and vendors as required.
      • Oversee and maintain the organization’s supply closet, ensuring it is stocked with necessary office supplies and event materials.
      • Collect, categorize, and compile credit card receipts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies.
  • Community Outreach:
    • Represent the organization at community events and engage with potential program participants.
    • Send VIP volunteers birthday cards each month.
    • Routinely support and promote LG’s Vision, Mission & Core Values.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and secure the best deals for nonprofit organization.
  • Ability to adapt to constantly changing demands in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to foresee, manage, and resolve problems quickly.
  • Ability to lead and work in a team environment as well as be self-driven and motivated to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Gwinnett County and region is a plus.
