POSITION OVERVIEW

The Program & Event Coordinator coordinates the logistical and operational elements of Leadership Gwinnett’s leadership programs and events. This role supports Signature Program Learning Days, Glance Gwinnett sessions, alumni gatherings, and select organizational events, ensuring experiences are well organized, welcoming, and professionally executed.

Events may range from program Learning Days and alumni gatherings to celebratory events such as holiday gatherings and/or fundraising galas. We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering organized, thoughtful experiences where every detail supports a welcoming and seamless program day.

This role plays an important part in helping Leadership Gwinnett deliver programs that connect leaders, strengthen relationships across sectors, and contribute to the continued growth and success of Gwinnett County.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate logistics for Signature Program Learning Days and Glance Gwinnett sessions;
  • Support planning and execution of alumni events and gatherings;
  • Assist with organizational events including special celebrations and fundraising events;
  • Manage venue coordination, food and beverage planning, room setup, and audiovisual needs;
  • Prepare event materials including agendas, name badges, signage, and evaluations;
  • Develop and maintain event timelines, run-of-show documents, and planning checklists;
  • Coordinate vendors, venues, and service providers;
  • Communicate logistical information to participants, volunteers, and staff;
  • Help ensure a welcoming and professional experience at all Leadership Gwinnett events;
  • Maintain inventory of event supplies and materials;
  • Assist with post-event evaluations and improvements; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 – 3 years of experience in nonprofit programs, association events, program operations, hospitality logistics, or corporate training environments
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and moving parts simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with volunteers, speakers, alumni, and community leaders
  • Calm, solution-oriented approach in fast-paced environments
