Say hello to the Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2027 👏

48 leaders. 9 months. One goal: understanding Gwinnett County from the inside out.

Starting this August, our newest class goes behind the scenes of the courts, schools, hospitals, and businesses shaping one of Georgia’s fastest-growing counties, building the relationships that turn ideas into impact.

Since 1985, more than 1,300 leaders have walked this path. Now it’s their turn.

Next up in our Volunteer Spotlight series: Greg Whitlock! 🌟

Some people just keep showing up for this community, and Greg Whitlock is one of them. A proud Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2005 graduate, Greg has giving back to the LG community for more than six years.

After serving on the 2019–2020 Retreat Committee, he joined the Steering Committee as a Tri-Chair before becoming our 2025–26 Chair.

When we asked why he keeps coming back, here`s what he shared:
"The best thing about volunteering for Leadership Gwinnett is meeting LG grads outside my normal circle and learning life lessons and new initiatives I wouldn`t normally be exposed to. Plus, LG grads know how to have fun, and I really enjoy the lighthearted environment that exists while serving."

We`re so grateful for Greg`s generosity and his commitment to this community and, by extension, all of Gwinnett County.

It is with a heavy heart that we shares the passing of Elliott Brack — a founding visionary, devoted community champion, and beloved friend to Leadership Gwinnett.

More than 40 years ago, Elliott served on the steering committee that brought Leadership Gwinnett to life. His belief in developing informed, connected leaders helped shape the foundation of everything we do today.

A gifted storyteller with an unmatched love for Gwinnett County, Elliott had a rare ability to capture the spirit and history of this community. Last fall, we were honored to celebrate his lasting impact at our 40th Anniversary Soirée alongside fellow founders.

His wit, warmth, and unwavering dedication will be deeply missed. We are forever grateful for the legacy he leaves behind.
