Catrina is a distinguished Pharmaceutical Research & Development Scientist and the visionary founder of The Calena Firm, LLC. With a career spanning multinational corporations, Catrina has driven innovation at the intersection of drug development, advanced technology, and materials science—leaving a lasting imprint on the global pharmaceutical landscape.
A proud alumna of Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, Catrina earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, laying the foundation for her scientific pursuits. She further advanced her expertise with an MBA, as well as an Executive Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from the Robinson College of Business, where she now serves as Chair of the DBA Alumni Engagement Committee.
Catrina holds multiple professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt (certified by the Institute of Industrial Engineers), and PRINCE2 Practitioner, underscoring her commitment to operational excellence and strategic leadership.
A sought-after speaker, Catrina frequently shares her insights at industry conferences and academic forums. Her scholarly research is published in leading journals and accessed by a global audience. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a passionate advocate for community health and wellness, actively contributing as a Board Member of Pro Elevation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing careers in sports management.
Originally from Michigan, Catrina now resides in Suwanee, Georgia, with her family. When she’s not advancing scientific frontiers or mentoring future leaders, she enjoys exploring new destinations—especially those with serene coastal beaches.
