Jay Dennard, FACHE, FHFMA, CPXP, a native of Middle Georgia, serves as the
President of the Gwinnett Hospital Foundation and Vice President for Governmental and
Community Affairs for Northside Hospital System. He has served in several health
systems holding various senior executive positions of progressing authority and scope of
responsibility. Jay earned his BBA in Management from Georgia Southwestern State
University in Americus, Georgia, his MSA in Public Administration from Columbus State
University in Columbus, Georgia, and his MHA and his MBA from Georgia State
University in Atlanta, Georgia.

A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Fellow of the Healthcare
Financial Management Association, Jay is also a Certified Patient Experience
Professional. Believing that for much is given, much is expected, Jay serves or has served
on various civic, community, and professional organization Boards such as Gwinnett
Chamber Board of Directors, Partnership Gwinnett Georgia Association of Healthcare
Executives, Community Foundation of Northeast Georgia, United Way, Rotary Club of
Duluth, Salvation Army, Georgia Gwinnett College Board of Trustees, Georgia Gwinnett
College Strategic Committee Chair, Annandale Village (serves as Chair of the
Governance Committee), Rainbow Village Campaign Committee and Leadership
Gwinnett. In addition, Jay is past State of Georgia Regent for the American College of
Healthcare Executives and the Georgia State University Institute of Health Administration
Board. He has been awarded the Scott Hudgens Distinguished Citizen Award and was
the Volunteer Services Recipient at the Gwinnett Chamber Healthcare Awards.

Jay has spoken regionally and nationally on subjects ranging from The Impact of Reform
on Medicare/Medicaid to Workforce Retention Strategies, Leadership Development, and
Organizational Culture.

A native of Perry, Georgia, Jay and his wife Margaret live in Duluth, Georgia, with their
two sons, Trey and Will.
