Lisa Zaken is President & CEO of Leadership Gwinnett, where she leads the organization’s mission to educate, equip, and engage diverse leaders and inspire civic involvement throughout Gwinnett County. A graduate of Leadership Gwinnett’s Class of 2005, Lisa believes Gwinnett’s greatest strength is its network of informed, connected leaders who work together to address community challenges and create a stronger future.
With more than 40 years of nonprofit and association management experience, Lisa has dedicated her career to building relationships, developing leaders, and strengthening communities. She began her career with the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), where she spent two decades leading training and marketing initiatives that advanced the profession worldwide. In recognition of her service, the IISE Board established an endowed scholarship in her honor.
In 2002, Lisa joined the Gwinnett Chamber, where she discovered her passion for community leadership and engagement right in her own back yard! After graduating from Leadership Gwinnett in 2005, she gained a deeper understanding of the community she calls home and the power of connected leadership.
Since joining Leadership Gwinnett in 2011, Lisa has had the privilege of working alongside hundreds of volunteers, alumni, board members, and community partners who care deeply about Gwinnett’s future. She is continually inspired by the generosity, commitment, and collaborative spirit that make Leadership Gwinnett’s work possible.
