Mary Kate Chapman joined the Leadership Gwinnett team in July 2025 as the Senior Program Director. Mary Kate worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 25 years, specializing in community development and collaboration, event and volunteer management, organizational development and leadership, and training youth and adults in various leadership topics across the country.
Mary Kate graduated from Glance Gwinnett in 2016, Leadership Gwinnett in 2018 (best bicentennial class ever!), co-chaired LG Health & Human Services Learning Day from 2020 – 2023, and was honored to serve as LG Tri-Chair in 2024. She’s beyond grateful to continue her service with Leadership Gwinnett as a full time staff member.
Mary Kate is an Internationally Certified Prevention Specialist through the Prevention Credentialing Consortium of Georgia and currently serves as the Continuing Education Committee Chair. She received the Ray Avant Excellence in Prevention Award in 2016.
Mary Kate holds a Master of Art in Liberal Studies (English) from Clayton State University and a Bachelor of Science in Communications (Media Studies) from Kennesaw State University. As someone who has a passion for training and connecting with communities, she continues to present at local, state, and national conferences and events.
